Your genius is the craft. Let everything else run itself.

Today we are announcing our Series D at a $1.15 billion valuation, bringing our total capital raised to more than $125 million. The round was led by Lux Capital, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Imaginary Ventures, 2048 Ventures, L Catterton Growth Fund, and StepStone Private Ventures.

We are also introducing Genius AI, our new company name. Our customer base has grown beyond beauty and wellness, and our product has grown beyond software. The new name reflects both.

These announcements are connected by a single ambition: to bring intelligence to the in-person service economy, so these businesses can do the work only they can do and let the rest run itself.

One of AI's most important consequences for our customers is a counterintuitive one. As models automate more knowledge work, human-to-human work will increase in importance. The physical therapist, the stylist, the clinical provider, the skilled experts you see in person, offer something that models can't. Because of that, their time, skill, presence and assurance will only grow in worth. Approximately 8 million businesses already do this work in the US, an economy with over $2 trillion in annual spend1. This economy is about to enter its best era.

Nobody dreams of growing up to manage a calendar at a front desk. Instead, kids dream of becoming doctors, nurses, stylists, trainers and other skilled professionals. They dream of a craft and the people it helps. Then they discover the catch: the craft comes bundled with admin work. A calendar to fill, no-shows and payments to chase, staff to manage, messages piling up after hours.

We launched GlossGenius in 2017 with a simple idea: use technology to help professionals focus on their service, not their back office. We bootstrapped the company for years, starting in beauty and wellness because these businesses were among the most technologically underserved in America. Every hour they spent on admin was an hour kept from their craft and their clients. So we took the tangle of paper, spreadsheets, and point solutions and made booking, payments, and marketing easier with one system.

Today, we are the market leader in this space. More than 125,000 businesses across half of all US ZIP codes run on our platform: salons, med spas, physical therapy practices, wellness studios, and more. Our products have saved these businesses an estimated 112 million hours of administrative work and helped them generate an additional $2 billion in revenue. We are approaching $200 million in revenue run-rate this quarter.

But we are still at the beginning of what is possible. AI has expanded what we can build for our customers and pulled our roadmap years forward. The models will keep getting better. As they do, our product won't just help with the work. It will do the work.

Genius AI exists to bring that future to the physical economy, where some of the most valuable and human work in our daily lives takes place. We're releasing products that run the back office on their own, so business owners can finally do what they dreamed of. We are building toward a world in which a service business's calendar fills itself, payments handle themselves, the front desk never misses a call, and every client is triaged and supported with personalized care. The practitioner walks in, does the work they spent their life wanting to do, and walks out. The rest runs itself.

The genius was never the software. It's the person holding the expertise. We're building the technology that handles everything else.
